STABLE COMFORT is
An Innovative, Patented, & Shock-Absorbing, Mattress System

StableComfort Reproduces the Characteristics
of Natural Pasture. Allowing Your Horses to Have the
Confidence
to Walk, Rise, &
Lay Down Without the Fear of Slipping.
Stable Comfort is much more than a stall mat. Stable
Comfort is a 2-piece system. The first component is a multi-celled mattress
filled with uniformly sized rubber crumb. This rubber crumb provides the
mattress with its high
level of comfort and its shock absorbency. |

The
second component is the one piece top covering. The top
cover is made from an industrial strength geo-textile and
impregnated with a vulcanized rubber compound, that not only
adds to the durability, but also makes it a non-draining,
non-absorbent system.
The top cover is fastened to the stall walls ensuring that
it stays in place and that no bedding or waste gets
underneath the system.

|
For the Horse
|
| |
|
| |
|
Ultimate
Comfort –
StableComfort stall flooring provides unsurpassed comfort through a
resilient stall surface which mimics natural turf. Horses on StableComfort
stall flooring are encouraged to lie down to rest more often and for longer
periods of time. While standing, this stall mat system provides a
supportive, even surface. While lying down the StableComfort stall flooring
decreases the time line of injury rehabilitation and aids in loosening stiff
joints. The StableComfort stall mat system provides insulation from the cold
and a barrier against dampness from concrete floors. The equine performance
industry reports less leg fatigue and a reduction in tissue fluid
accumulation with the StableComfort stall flooring system.
Non-Slip –
StableComfort stall flooring provides a non-slip surface, enabling safer and
easier movement. In fact, many veterinary facilities are taking advantage of
this benefit in their post-anesthetic stalls.
Air Quality –
The StableComfort stall mat system is equivalent to a minimum of four inches
of bedding. Research from the Equine Research Centre in Guelph, Ontario has
found that using a fraction of the bedding with the StableComfort stall
flooring system improves stable air quality without sacrificing horse
comfort. Less bedding means less dust!
Joints and Sores –
The StableComfort stall mat system is designed with a horse-friendly
surface. The incidence of hock sores are drastically reduced and even
completely eliminated with the use of the StableComfort stall mat system.
The supportive, yet forgiving, characteristics of StableComfort have
produced proven results in animals with joint problems.
Foaling –
Excellent environment for foaling! StableComfort stall flooring provides
great footing for the active and energetic newborn, not to mention the easy
clean up when the foaling is over.
For the Owner
-
Bedding –
The StableComfort stall mat system is the equivalent to 4-6” (10-15cm) of
wood shavings which allows you to reduce bedding usage without sacrificing
horse comfort.
-
Labor –
Cut muck out time in half! Less bedding means less work and lower costs! The
wall-to-wall installation of StableComfort stall flooring means dirty
bedding stays on top where it can be easily removed. In many areas,
disposing of your soiled bedding is very costly. This stall mat system can
reduce your manure pile up to 65%, thereby putting more money in your
pocket.
-
Stall Maintenance –
Because StableComfort stall flooring covers the entire floor, horses are
unable to dig, thereby drastically reducing stall maintenance.

FACTS
& FIGURES
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
-
1.
What happens to the urine?
The urine stays on top of the system, is
absorbed into the appropriate amount of bedding and
removed from the barn. Research shows that this method
delivers the lowest amount of toxic ammonia odors in a
barn.
2.
Does the urine attack the top cover?
No. Private testing through an independent laboratory
has been done to be sure that urine does not attack the
top cover.
3.
What is the cost of one stall?
We have multiple dealers
across Canada and the United States. Please call or
e-mail us for your nearest dealer or to request a
personal quote.
4.
What is the warranty on this system?
There is a 3 year manufacturer’s defect
warranty on the entire system, valid from the date of
purchase. Some terms and conditions apply. For details
or to place a warranty claim, contact the place of
purchase.
5.
How long does the product last?
Our original stalls are still installed
with their original top cover. StableComfort™ is a
product that may or may not out live the horse but will
definitely make the horse live longer.
6.
How do I fasten into various types of walls?
Wood – Use wood screws.
Concrete/brick – Pre-drill holes into the wall prior to
fastening with steel nail-ins or concrete fasteners.
Steel – Use steel screws.
7.
Is the StableComfort™ system too soft for the health of
the horse?
Absolutely not. Extensive testing has
been completed on what animals need for comfort. The
most comfortable surface for horses is outdoors, and
this is what we have imitated indoors.
8.
What sort of cleaning products can I use on the
StableComfort™ system?
Recommended cleaning products are diluted
bleach and mil cleaning detergents. You can also power
wash your stall floor system. Plastic pitch forks are
strongly recommended to avoid damaging the top cover.
9.
What type of flooring is best to install over?
The best floor to install on is a flat cement base.
Gravel and crushed lime stone are also adequate bases to
install on as long as the surface is compacted down and
is flat. Sand bases are not recommended, however still
can be used as long as gravel is compacted on top.

GRAPHS
The StableComfort system has been proven to be the
equivalent of 4 - 6 inches of wood shavings. This means that
in many cases we are simply replacing a lot of bedding and
many people bed much heavier than this amount. The best
argument for this is the long list of testimonials we
receive from people who have seen noticeable improvements in
their animal's health while being stabled on StableComfort.
-
Less
bedding means less particle breakdown, resulting in
better air quality in your stable.
-
Less
bedding means faster daily stall clean-out time.
-
Less bedding means more money in your pocket.
The charts below from the Equine Research Center at the
University of Guelph, Guelph, Ontario Canada says it all.
Shavings required to bed a stall using StableComfort was 80%
less than the control stall. Dust levels present during
mucking were reduced by 80% as well. The Equine Research
Center also found that using StableComfort cut their daily
clean out time.

The graph below illustrates how StableComfort compares with
other stall floorings and shows its superior ability to
provide the highest level of horse comfort. This graph was
produced using The Clegg Hammer test. The Clegg Hammer is
an ASTM device used to measure the shock absorbance of
different surfaces. In effect it tests the hardness of a
surface. The lower the number registered by the Clegg
Hammer the better the shock absorbance.
